Ms. Burgess serves as of counsel to McCaffrey & Moffett, PLLC, of Concord, New Hampshire, a law firm specializing in bankruptcy, commercial litigation and insurance defense matters. 

Ms. Burgess served as vice president and general counsel to Whitegate Investment Counselors, Inc., a federally registered investment adviser firm in Concord, New Hampshire from 2002 through March of 2004.

From 1991 through 2002, Ms. Burgess concentrated in real estate and business matters as a member for five years and as an associate for six years at the law firm of Sulloway & Hollis, P.L.L.C. in Concord, New Hampshire.

Ms. Burgess, a 1988 graduate of Bowdoin College, received her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1991.  She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

            Ms. Burgess is a member of the Real Property and Probate Section of the American Bar Association and the Real Property Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association.

Ms. Burgess is a member of the Concord Rotary Club, legal counsel to The Friendly Kitchen of Concord, New Hampshire, a non-profit organization, and past president of the Merrimack Unit of the American Cancer Society.  She recently served as co-chair of Concord Hospital’s 2002 Theme Event Committee, raising over $100,000.00 for the Payson Center for Cancer Care.  

A native of Newburyport, Massachusetts, Ms. Burgess lives in Hopkinton with her husband.  They enjoy biking, skiing and hiking throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
